I woke up at 5:30. I woke up not because of the sunrise, but I woke up by the humming of birds. It is a good ‘morning call’ than sunrise since the time sun rises varies significantly throughout the year in Europe, but the timing of birds humming in the morning is relatively stable.

Good start

I didn’t put the article on the screen last night, but I remembered what I should do, so I read the article as a first thing to do in a morning. It is a big progress that I’m writing this before 6 and I can start my day after faster. Even though I had a headache because of a hung over, it got better after I read the article. The reading speed was fast today, maybe because I have been thinking about the same thing in the article previously.

20 minutes

I didn’t know, but it took 20 minutes to start reading after I sat on the chair. I did some useful stuff, such as reading emails and academic articles, but some useless stuff like touching social media was interleaved. It would be much simpler if I could start reading right away. I will put the article on the screen before I sleep tonight so that there is no distraction before start reading. The new article was an advanced one than the one I was reading past few days. The introductory part was easy, but it will be more complex soon. This time, I will read it through first, and come back again to understand thoroughly.

Switched order

Decided to do this reading and writing routine before runnning. I feel a headache, but the speed didn't seem to be effected much, so I think it was a good move. Now I can start my day right after I finished running and eating. The new article was short and relatively close to what I am working on, so it was easy to read. I read the half yesterday, which I didn't post it on the blog, and I finished the rest today. Next, I will move on to a little bit more difficult article related to this.

Feeling well

Today was a holiday. No pressure, so I could wake up easily at 6 and had a good morning routine. It became sleepy right after eating breakfast, but its okay. 20 minutes of a little nap made the work after the nap more productive. The state of mind I have right now seems ideal and I hope it could last until the end of the day. If I could, I think I can wake up well tomorrow morning as well. As for reading, I finished reading this article. It was a difficult one overall, but gave me some good ideas. I would like to come back as soon as I understand the background.

Start running earlier!

Instead of going back to where I got lost, I decided to finish reading the article. I began to think that there is a better material to understand this topic and I will read it before I read this article again. I decided to read until the end because I thought it was sensible to grasp the whole picture of this paper, so that it will be easier to find where to read when I come back. The morning was okay. I felt sleepy when I woke up, so I stayed in my bed a little bit longer, but it was not a good decision, because it caused headache. The sleepiness got better after I finish my morning routine, such as running, working out, taking shower and being dressed up.

Need to go

It’s getting harder to understand… This comes from not understanding earlier paragraphs. I think its time to go back and follow lines carefully. I will do calculation in order to improve my understandings, so I guess it will be slower from now. Understanding new things are not monotonic. There are some obstacles that require more time. I just have to hope that I could read the material faster after passing the obstacle.
