Why do I get sleepy even if I slept enough hours? I just slept early and woke up early, but I didn’t change the amount of time I sleep. Is it because I’m awake way before working hours or is it just an illusion? Maybe it was because I read the article and writing this blog in bed because it was a little bit chilly. I remember that sitting on a chair makes me awake more than sitting on the bed, so I will stop doing this on the bed tomorrow.

Changed the article. I am now reading a review paper on my related field. However, I don’t have a firm theoretical background on this, so reading this paper will be a challenge. The sunrise getting slower and slower. It gets difficult to choose when to fit my running routine into the morning habit. I want to wake up at 5:30, but it is too dark to start a day with. I read the paper from the beginning again. I understood equations more than the last time, but I didn’t have good concentration while I was reading. I was too sleepy and that’s the reason why the word count is few. Do I get tired towards the end of the week? Do I need more sleep in the weekends? Maybe, yes. Although I would like to have the same routine everyday regardless of weekdays or weekends, I have to decide whether I should modify the routine in weekends or in order not to accumulate exhaustion. As for today, I will sleep another 15 minutes until 6 since I’m ahead of schedule at the moment.

Woke up at 5:30 as always. I feel sleepy because I went to bed at 0:30 last night. It’s just a lack of sleep that I can prevent if I were to go to sleep earlier. It’s my fault, so I have to deal with it and am considering how to prevent it tonight. A good thing is that I wake up at this time no matter what these days. I feel no fear getting sleepy in a day without adding more sleep after waking up, so I think it’s not too bad. It just makes me feel sleepy and require unnecessary mental strength during the day. As for reading routine, I finished reading the article. I read it quickly with less understandings, but I did it in order to know what the author wanted to tell in the paper and get the whole picture. I might read the article again tomorrow.

Follow your gut

Woke up early and trying to finish writing this blog post before 6. Soon after I got up from my bed, I tried to start reading the article and I think it worked. I think it is good to start something earlier and try to finish the most important thing in the day as fast as possible in the morning. This way, you don’t have to waste time to plan or think about what to do. Just complete the routine without thinking and get to the work. Choose what is the most important thing while running or follow your gut, and try to work on it as soon as possible.  

Get in bed earlier

Finished reading this paper. It was a good opportunity to review the paper, but I don’t feel I gained something from reading this paper. It is very hard to find beforehand which paper will be beneficial. Maybe it is worthwhile training an ability to guess it from abstract.

Anyways, I woke up earlier than I should regarding the time I slept last night. I didn’t want to sleep again, but I feel a little bit sleepy. I said it many times, but it is important to sleep earlier in order to make morning better.

A bit late

Woke up late today, but stuck to do the reading routine. The clock says, I have not much time in the morning, so I will make it efficient from now. This might be a good timing to review my habit in the morning in order to improve more efficiency.

The reading wasn’t too bad. I concentrated on understanding rather than speed.
